Our Micro HiLs
Due to the steadily increasing complexity of software in vehicles, all DevOps topics are becoming more and more important. This is why continuous and automated tests play a central role in our development projects. Since 2013, we have been continuously developing our in-house Micro HiL Cluster in order to virtualize the development workstations as far as possible and enable remote access. In addition to its use in development projects, this also optimizes the integration of our nearshore locations.
The focus is on a cost-efficient setup, with a large proportion of the test equipment being tailored to the specific use cases and developed in-house. Even the booking system for the workstations and the control and automation via APIs are developed in-house.
Our Micro HiLs are smart but full hardware-in-the-loop systems that enable comprehensive integration and system tests on real hardware. The hardware infrastructure is managed centrally by a small team at our headquarters in Wöllstadt. The desk-sharing principle enables employees worldwide to access and share data and hardware. Our Micro HiL Cluster currently consists of 96 Micro HiLs and is largely used for infotainment and displays.
